We Built an Open Source Strapi+Next.js Enterprise Template

Every modern website starts the same way:

We’ve done it dozens of times for clients using Strapi and Next.js.

Eventually, we asked:

And built the starter template we wished we had 10 projects ago.

How We Built It

The starter is structured as a Turborepo monorepo, split into:

• /apps/strapi – production-ready Strapi CMS with common plugins, advanced i18n, and custom WYSIWYG (CkEditor 5 with style mapping)
• /apps/ui – fully typed Next.js frontend with App Router, TailwindCSS, and Shadcn/ui

• Auth with NextAuth + Strapi JWT
• Docker + GitHub Actions CI/CD
• E2E-ready: testing and seed data for local dev
• Strict ESLint, Prettier, Husky, and commit conventions
