Klára Stehlíková

Klára takes care of Notum's people: HR, admin, and the back-office work that keeps the team running. Her role has shifted a lot during her first year, and she's now also part-time on the finance side.

Professional Background

Before Notum, she worked as a barista for about 10 years, through high school and university, at Monogram in Brno. She joined Notum part-time right after graduating, meaning to keep both going, but Notum work quickly took over. She's kept a piece of the old job alive anyway: Cake Monday, Notum's weekly tradition of Monogram pastries, started with her, and the office grinder still runs on Monogram beans.

She actually landed the job through a Monogram regular. Martin, Notum's senior developer and tech lead, got talking to her at the counter and suggested she apply when Notum was hiring an HR assistant. She studied international relations, and likes to joke that her job turned out to be about relationships after all, just the Notum kind, not the international kind.

Outside of Work

Klára is serious about coffee: she makes it, drinks it, and tracks down new places to get it wherever she travels, using the Coffee Trip app so often that it shaped where she picked her Erasmus semester. She also reads a lot (26 books last year, one for every year of her life, though she admits she's behind this year), keeps about 70 plants at home, and spends her free time with family, friends, and her dog Happy.
