With 11 years in frontend development, Marek leads a cross-functional team at Notum building headless applications on Next.js with Strapi, Payload CMS, and Commercetools. He defines the architecture, stays hands-on in the codebase, and has shaped how his team uses AI across the workflow, from architecture to code review and testing. With clients, he focuses on matching what they expect from a legacy system migration with real gains in site speed and usability.
Before Notum, Marek spent more than a decade in frontend work, most notably helping modernize large-scale e-commerce platforms at Heureka Group and Notino, rewriting their monolithic frontends into shared React and TypeScript micro-frontend architectures serving millions of users. Earlier in his career, he built a Smart TV gaming platform with around 30 games and millions of daily visits at Mautilus, later acquired by 24i.
He's spoken at React Girls, and enjoys attending conferences organized under frontendisti.cz.
Marek spends his free time in the mountains, playing beach volleyball or other sports and likes to read some interesting books.
