Martin Čapek

Eleven years into his career, Martin now handles technical solution design and crisis management on Notum's Valkýra team. Mentoring junior and mid-level developers is part of the job too, along with setting technical standards and workflows that apply across the whole company.

Professional Background

Martin has been at Notum since 2020, working his way from Senior Frontend Developer up to Tech Lead and then CTO, before stepping back into a hands-on Senior Full Stack Developer role in 2023. Before Notum, he worked at Simplo.cz building performance-first websites for clients, and started his career as a PHP programmer at FOREGROUND.

Open source is where some of his Strapi work shows up publicly: Notum's own record-locking and content-versioning plugins carry his name, and he's contributed to Strapi's own migration-scripts repository too.

Outside of Work

Trail running, cycling, and swimming fill his free time. The Notum logo is tattooed on his leg, so there's no question where his loyalty sits.
