Michal co-founded Notum and runs its operations, with 11 years in the field. He sets every client project up for a strong start and an even stronger finish.

Michal calls himself "the Strapi guy," and after 11 years in the field, it's earned: he kicked off Notum's first Strapi project back when Strapi was still in alpha. As a co-founder and COO of Notum, he runs the operational side of client success: setting up internal processes, working through business analysis with the client, validating the solution, and getting every project off to a strong start and an even stronger finish.
What he values most is working closely with Notum's internal team, people who are his friends. He built the foundations of people development, set up HR and recruitment, and shaped how projects are planned across teams, deliberately doing things differently to build a stronger Notum community: more efficient, better performing, and a better place to work together.
Before stepping into operations, Michal worked as a senior project manager and a frontend developer at Notum starting in 2018 on 28 projects and counting, and before that he built BI solutions at Unicorn Systems, including a real-time monitoring system for an electricity grid data, and worked as a junior BI developer and controller at REDA. He was a database and data enthusiast then and still is, and it's his favorite part of any project.
Tennis, travel, books, and a good party round out Michal's time outside work. He reads Stoic philosophy daily, and the idea he keeps coming back to is that nothing is good or bad in itself; it only becomes one or the other with time. So when a problem lands on his desk, he tends not to see it as one. He studied in China for a half a year and still speaks some Chinese. His Russian, he jokes, needs about a month more before it's fluent.
