Zuzana Dendysová

Zuzana is a software tester on Notum's Uno team, focused on test automation. She writes end-to-end tests in Cypress, Playwright, and Python to help catch bugs early. She likes it when systems work, but figuring out why they don't is often the part she enjoys most.

Professional Background

Zuzana joined Notum in August 2024. Her work covers end-to-end test automation, Python-based API testing and CI integration, and test strategy, from smoke and regression suites to exploratory testing and edge cases.

Alongside testing, she's doing a PhD in International Relations at Masaryk University, studying how states use their control over the critical raw materials in EV batteries, such as lithium, nickel, and cobalt, to project geopolitical power. She models that leverage with network analysis and agent-based simulations, and works as a researcher on university projects on energy justice and Central and Eastern European security cooperation.

Before Notum, she spent two years as a data scientist at the Global Arena Research Institute, analyzing the EU's economic vulnerabilities in R and Python, maintaining machine learning models that predict energy commodity prices, and mentoring junior data scientists. Earlier, she freelanced in data analysis, content writing, and digital marketing.

She speaks Slovak, Czech, English, French, and some Polish, and she's driven by curiosity and a love of patterns, whether she's writing test scripts, building models, or making sense of a complex problem.
